Seahorses avoid predators by mimicking the colour of underwater plants. They constantly feed on plankton and tiny fish because they have no teeth or stomach which means that food passes through their digestive system so fast, they have to feed constantly to stay alive. Their mating rituals are long! Engaging for up to 8 hours in a courtship dance which includes spinning around, swimming side by side and changing colours.

These beautiful wooden seahorse figures are the perfect way for children to learn about these fascinating creatures.

Playing with wooden animal figures instills a love of nature and animals while developing creativity and imagination. They are the perfect educational tool for young children and are ideal for use in Montessori and Waldorf play settings.
